The LIFE Project – Lighter, Integrated, Eco-Friendly and Efficient Aircraft Cabin – designed by Almadesign, won the Crystal Cabin Award in the category “Visionary Concepts”. The Crystal Cabin Award is the only international award for excellence in aircraft interior innovation, considered the “Oscar of Interior Aviation” and is promoted by the Senate of the City of Hamburg.

The “Tannery of the year” awards are considered the most prestigious prizes worldwide that are awarded to the best companies in the global tanning industry by the specialist international magazine World Leather. The awards are decided by an independent jury appointed by the International Council of Tanners, The International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies, leadership and human resources consultants and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization attribute the awards.

The “Innovation Award”, won by Couro Azul, recognizes the company’s commitment to high quality standards and innovation, which is part of its DNA.

Couro Azul was considered as the company with the best growth in the national industry in terms of turnover, and holds the 6th position in the employment creation, according to the ranking issued by the portuguese publication “Dinheiro Vivo” (Star Company – O Ranking das 1000 Maiores Empresas – IGNIOS).

Couro Azul was honored with the Millenniium Horizontes awards in the Export category last November 15th.

The Millennium Horizons Awards are an initiative of Millennium bcp, in partnership with the Global Media Group, COTEC, AICEP and the Catholic University, which aims to reward Portuguese companies that stood out in 2016, both for their export drive, for their dynamism or the innovative nature of its products, services or processes.
